For more than 20 years, DJ Hills has taken pride in providing a professional sound and light show at many hundreds of family and corporate functions including weddings, engagements, birthdays, anniversaries, bar mitzvahs, bat mitzvahs, presentations, hosting celebrities, tribute shows, charity events and Christmas/New Year functions.
As a radio-trained professional DJ, I like to tailor-make your disco and appreciate that – whatever the function – your day is special to you. I believe that the disco service you select to compliment your celebrations should give you, your family, and friends an evening to remember.
I use a variety of superior quality sound systems, incorporating equipment manufactured by EV, QSC, Yamaha, Martin Audio, Peavey, etc. Different sized venues call for different levels of equipment: whether your function is in a small hall or a large function suite, I will provide you with a clean, undistorted sound system. (For the technically minded, I can supply 4.6 kW Class-D power comprising two 12“ 1,000 WPC ‘tops’ and two 1,300 15“ WPC bass bins to comfortably power a venue with a floorspace of 3,000+ sq.ft., if necessary.)
Playing the right music is a key factor in ensuring the success of your function. With an extensive music collection, I cater from golden oldies to the most recent chart music. I encourage my clientele to discuss their music requirements with me and I am happy to receive ‘play-lists’ and take requests on the day of the function.
Lighting also plays a critical part in creating the right atmosphere. I am constantly upgrading my effects to ensure that the lighting is right for your party. Most of my lights are environmentally-friendly modern LED effects and lasers. Lighting effects will always be enhanced with the use of a ‘haze’ machine, which I take advantage of – subject to being permitted to do so by the venue. (Many venues will not allow their use, as they have had past experience of them setting off fire alarms!)
With extensive experience of hosting live artistes, I am also able to offer facilities for vocalists to utilise my equipment at your event.
My equipment is P.A.T. tested; I carry full public liability insurance, and I am DBS checked – which is critical when you are working with children and the vulnerable – some venues insist on some/all of these as prerequisites.
